Description
STAR SHT Preshaded Zirconia Blocks are high-translucency zirconia designed for superior esthetic results in anterior restorations. Manufactured by Xiangtong Medical Corporation, these blanks use premium-quality imported zirconium powder blended with uniform coloring agents and processed through precise pressing, shaping, and pre-sintering technology. The result is a stable, consistent zirconia blank with natural shade gradients, excellent color matching, and no visible spotting or shading inconsistencies.
Compatible with major CAD/CAM systems, STAR SHT blocks are ideal for veneers, anterior crowns, and coping structures, offering excellent strength, translucency, and long-term clinical performance.
1. Case Design
• Begin by obtaining a digital scan or impression of the patient’s prepared tooth using an intraoral scanner or by scanning a physical model.
• Import the scan into dental CAD software and design the required restoration (crown, bridge, veneer, or coping) according to the clinical requirements.
• Ensure the margins, occlusion, and anatomy are accurately defined before proceeding to milling.
2. Milling Procedure
• Select the appropriate STAR SHT Preshaded Zirconia Block shade and size for the restoration.
• Secure the zirconia block in a compatible CAD/CAM milling machine.
• Mill the restoration based on the finalized CAD design following the machine manufacturer’s milling parameters for zirconia.
• Carefully remove the milled restoration from the blank and detach the sprue.
3. Sintering
• Place the milled zirconia restoration in a zirconia sintering furnace.
• Sinter the restoration according to the recommended temperature and time instructions provided by the zirconia manufacturer.
• Allow the restoration to cool gradually to avoid structural stress or cracking.
4. Finishing and Characterization
• After sintering, check the restoration for surface smoothness and marginal integrity.
• Perform minor adjustments using suitable zirconia finishing burs if necessary.
• Polish or apply stain and glaze to enhance the final aesthetics and surface finish.
5. Clinical Try-In
• Place the restoration in the patient’s mouth to evaluate fit, marginal accuracy, occlusion, and shade match.
• Make any necessary adjustments to ensure proper function and patient comfort.
6. Cementation
• Clean and prepare the internal surface of the zirconia restoration according to recommended zirconia bonding protocols.
• Use a suitable dental cement for zirconia restorations.
• Seat the restoration properly with adequate pressure, remove excess cement, and verify occlusion and final placement.
7. Storage
• Store unused STAR SHT Preshaded Zirconia Blocks in a clean, dry environment.
• Protect from moisture, contamination, and physical damage before use.
