1. Device Setup
• Unpack the Device
Open the packaging box carefully and check that all components and accessories are included according to the packing list.

• Position the Unit
Remove the main unit from the packaging and place it on a stable, flat surface to ensure safe operation.

• Water Control Adjustment
Turn the water control knob to the maximum setting as recommended in the user manual.

• Foot Switch Connection
Insert the plug of the foot switch into the designated socket on the main unit.

• Water Supply Connection
Connect one end of the water pipe to the water inlet on the unit and the other end to a pure water source.

• Power Connection
Insert the power supply plug into the power socket of the unit and connect it to an electrical outlet.

• Power On
Turn on the main unit. The power indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the device is ready for operation.

2. Operation
• Select the Scaling Tip
Choose the appropriate scaling tip required for the dental procedure and securely attach it to the handpiece using the provided torque wrench.

• Normal Frequency Operation
Under normal working conditions using 45 scaling tips, apply light pressure and move the tip gently in a to-and-fro motion to remove tartar effectively. Avoid excessive force or prolonged contact to prevent heat generation.

• Adjust Vibration Intensity
Adjust the vibration intensity using the control knob. A medium setting is generally recommended. Modify the intensity according to:
• Patient sensitivity
• Amount and hardness of tartar

• Adjust Water Volume
Press the foot switch to activate ultrasonic vibration. Then adjust the water control switch to create a fine spray, which helps cool the handpiece and rinse debris from the teeth.

• Handpiece Handling
Hold the handpiece like a pen to allow comfortable and precise movement during the scaling procedure.

3. Safety Precautions
• Avoid Vertical Contact
Do not allow the tip end to contact the teeth vertically. This may damage both the tooth surface and the scaling tip.

• Avoid Excessive Pressure
Use minimal pressure when operating the scaler. Excessive force may cause:
• Damage to tooth enamel
• Tip wear or breakage
• Patient discomfort

• Maintain Proper Water Flow
Always ensure adequate water flow during operation to prevent overheating of the tip and handpiece.

• Use Approved Accessories
Only use compatible BAOLAI scaling tips and accessories to ensure proper device performance and safety.
