Star Ceram Micro Bond

Star Ceram Micro Bond is an ultra-fine, paste-like interlayer adhesive designed specifically for bonding ceramics to metal frameworks. It’s optimized for use with laser-sintered or milled CoCr (cobalt-chromium) frames and alloys with reduced noble metal content. The product provides excellent protection of the metal surface, prevents oxide film formation during firing, and helps maintain the natural color of the ceramic mass—yielding aesthetic, durable results.

1. Surface Preparation
• Clean the metal or ceramic surface thoroughly to remove dust, oil, or contaminants.
• Ensure the surface is dry and properly prepared before applying the bonding agent.

2. Apply Micro Bond
• Apply a thin and even layer of Star Ceram Micro Bond on the required area using a brush.

3. Drying
• Allow the applied layer to air dry briefly before further processing.

4. Firing Process
• Place the restoration in the ceramic furnace and follow the recommended firing temperature for proper bonding.

5. Apply Ceramic Layer
• After firing, proceed with the ceramic build-up or layering according to the dental restoration procedure.

6. Final Check
• Inspect the restoration to ensure proper bonding and surface coverage before continuing with finishing and polishing.
