1. How the Dental Air Compressor Works
• A dental air compressor converts normal atmospheric air into pressurized air used during dental treatments. The system draws in air, compresses it, removes moisture and impurities, and stores the clean compressed air in a tank. This air is then supplied to dental instruments such as handpieces, air syringes, and drills that require a constant flow of dry and hygienic air.

2. Maintenance
• One key benefit of an oil-free air compressor is its low maintenance requirement. The pump cylinder is permanently lubricated, so there is no need for oil refilling or regular oil changes.

3. Check the Safety Valve
• Run the compressor until it reaches its automatic shut-off pressure.
• Pull the safety valve ring to release air from the tank.
• The valve should automatically return to its closed position.
• If the valve does not release air properly or fails to close afterward, the valve should be replaced to ensure safe operation.

4. Drain the Air Tank
• Air entering the compressor naturally contains moisture that condenses inside the tank.
• After each use, open the drain valve located at the bottom of the tank to remove the collected water.
• Keep the valve open until the tank is completely drained to prevent corrosion or internal damage.

5. Inspect the Air Filter
• The air filter helps keep dust and debris out of the compressor system. Its position depends on the model but is usually located under the protective cover near the compressor head.
• Replace paper or felt filters once they become dirty.
• Foam filters can be washed with mild soap and water.
• Allow the filter to dry fully before reinstalling it.
• Replace the filter if it is worn or damaged.

6. General Inspection
• Regularly check the overall condition of the compressor.
• Examine hoses, seals, and valves for cracks or leaks.
• Ensure all connections and fittings are tightly secured.
• Inspect the power cable for cuts or frayed sections.
• Check the air tank for rust, holes, or weak areas.
